Workshops

Levels

Finnfest offers levelled workshops throughout the weekend. Please read the descriptions before choosing the level. All groups will meet all teachers. Please note that you can participate only on the classes of the level you register to.

Level 2: You are comfortable with the basics of wcs and can dance to slow, medium and fast tempo. You are eager to learn more challenging variations and develop musicality and partner skills.
Level 3: This level is open for those who have earned 1 or more WSDC Novice points. Level 2 dancers can audition to join the workshops.
Level 4: This level is open for those who have earned 16 or more WSDC Novice points. Level 3 dancers can audition to join the workshops.
Level 5: This level is open for those who have earned 30 or more WSDC Intermediate points. Level 4 dancers can audition to join the workshops.

Audition

You can join the audition if you would like to participate in level 3, 4 and 5 classes but do not have the required WSDC points to qualify. Check the schedule to see when and where, and dance your way to the desired level.

You will get a few songs and you will rotate partners to get a chance to show your skills. The teachers will decide who gets to move up to level 3, 4 and 5. Please note that you need to have the right to compete in Intermediate to move up to level 5.
